Health is shaped by more than individual choices—it is deeply influenced by where people live…

Happy World Sleep Day!
Did you know that only 25% of high school students sleep for the recommended 8-10 hours every night? Teens who sleep less than 8 hours per night are more likely to experience stress, anxiety, impaired decision-making, and worsened memory compared to teens who sleep at least 8 hours per night.
Our program, PATH-S (Personalized Approach to Habits-Sleep) educates teens on healthy sleep behavior and supports teens to adopt and maintain their microhabits and improve their sleep through casual gaming and intermittent reinforcement techniques. Microhabits to improve sleep include going to sleep at the same time every night, turning off electronic devices (even phones!) one hour before bedtime, and limiting daytime naps to just 30 minutes maximum. Through the PATH-S app, teens track their daily microhabits, sleep time, and wake time. Even just keeping track of these statistics can improve sleep.
In honor of World Sleep Day today, we charge you to pick one of the above microhabits and implement it into your daily routine. Let us know how it goes!
