Adam began his professional career at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital as a Research Assistant in the Department of Molecular and Cardiovascular Biology while earning his bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Cincinnati. After graduation, and driven by a longstanding passion for healthcare, he transitioned into a role as a pediatric medical scribe in an emergency medicine clinical setting. During this time, he achieved his master’s degree in Safety Pharmacology from the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine. In addition, he continued to explore his interest in infectious diseases, serving as a graduate research assistant in the Infectious Disease Department. While serving as a Chief Medical Scribe in a large emergency department, his awareness of systemic issues in healthcare was deepened as he navigated the Covid pandemic alongside the clinical staff. This period, combined with his desire to address those challenges and combat infectious diseases, motivated him to pursue his master’s degree in Public Health, which he completed at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Outside of work, Adam can be found reading (mostly Sci-Fi and fantasy) or exploring one of the many Greenways around Charlotte while listening to a podcast. His favorite podcasts are Normal Gossip and Science Vs. His favorite place to visit is Gatlinburg in the Great Smoky Mountains, which he has visited dozens of times. He enjoys playing video/board/card games with friends, discovering new breweries with his brother, trying different Ramen restaurants with his niece and nephew, and spending time in the lake with family.
