Areas of focus: vulnerable populations, medical-dental health, Latino health
Ciara joined KDHRC in September 2020 as a Research Assistant, working to support the research teams on various public health projects. She reviews academic and scientific literature and assists with project tasks.
Ciara graduated from the University of Georgia College of Public Health with an M.P.H. in Health Promotion. During graduate school, she worked as an intern providing diabetes education and community outreach at St. Mary’s hospital and was a research assistant for the Social Technologies & Risk Reduction lab identifying innovative methods and technologies that can be used to support behavior change and enhance health in areas of mental health, substance use, reproductive health, and sexual risk.
In her free time, Ciara enjoys walks at the park with her dog, trying new restaurants, and DIY projects and crafts.
